Unplug and Recharge!

Event at a glance

Camp Halo is a retreat-style summer camp experience created for moms that will deliver exactly what they need—so let’s escape and connect. It’s an in-person, exclusive experience for 65 overnight guests and 45 day trippers with the goal to give well-deserving moms (that’s you!) a chance to connect with each other, have inspirational moments, get plenty of relaxation and, most importantly, have lots of fun!

Just think about it: The chance to pee in peace (amen!), the chance to finish your sentence without being interrupted (finally!), and the opportunity to drink a hot cup of coffee (you’re not asking for much!).

What to expect

Each morning your day will begin with a healthy and wholesome group breakfast, followed by, well, whatever your heart desires! It could be an activating yoga practice overlooking a picturesque spring-fed pond or a heart-pumping hike in the forest. If you wanted to take things easy, you could hang out by the pool, read a book in a hammock, head to your tent for a nap, chat with your friends…it’s really whatever you need, mama, to unwind and recharge. And of course, at night, there will be a campfire—it is camp after all!

Safari Tents

Reconnect with the wilderness in style and sophistication in one of the Mini, Junior, Traditional or Deluxe Safari Tents. Inspired by the great prospector tents of Canada’s past, the Safari Tents are artfully situated throughout the property to offer stunning views of the spring-fed ponds and beautiful wilderness.

Each Junior, Traditional and Deluxe Safari tent has an in-tent washroom with hot & cold running water, electricity, custom furnishings and luxe linens, towels and robes.

Treetop Tents

Spend your retreat in the stunning Treetop Tents a Safari Tent nestled two-stories high amongst the treetops. The three Treetop Tents share a central common area with a barbecue, kitchenette, outdoor shower and private hot tub high above the forest floor. The Treetop Tents are accessible by suspension bridges and are elevated off the ground, with stunning views of the spring-fed pond and forest canopy. It’s not quite a dreamland, but it’s pretty darn close.

FAQ

The all-inclusive experience (and we’re talking everything from accommodations, food, drink, and travel to activities and classes) starts at $899+HST.

Q: Can kiddos be included?
A: If you are a nursing mom that cannot leave your baby for the day, you are welcome to bring them along (under 1 year old) for the day trip. Otherwise, this is a Mom-only experience—no kiddos for the overnight experience.

Q: How many people will be there in total?
A: Max of 65 overnight guests and between 45-50 daytime guests.

Q: What are the Covid Policies?
A: CAMP HALO will have hand-washing and sanitizer available and will follow Ontario public health guidelines at the time of the event. We ask guests to respect each other’s Covid limits. As this is an almost 100-percent outside venue and experience, we will do our best to encourage lots of space and distance for those to feel comfortable. If you would like to wear a mask, you are welcome to, however, we will not be enforcing mask-wearing or checking Covid vaccines.

Q: Will there be optional transportation?
A: YES! You can either come on your own time or jump on our shuttle departing from Yorkdale Mall or Scarborough Town Centre on June 4th returning on June 6th.
If you are coming for the DAY TRIP, you can also jump on a bus departing from Toronto around 9:00 AM and departing around 5:30 PM, though times will be confirmed closer to the event.

Q: Is it for family or just moms?
A: This event is geared toward women and moms. We encourage you to come solo and we will happily place you with a well-suited roommate—or come with a friend! We have mostly double occupancy in king-size beds.

Q: Will there actually be summer camp-style activities?
A: This is a choose-your-own-adventure experience. We will offer a ton of optional experiences, but will encourage our camp attendees to take part in as much as they feel is suited to them. If you want to curl up with a book, sleep in, get up early, sit at the pool, go for a run, or take part in any of our formal offerings, its entirely up to you!

Q: Is It all-inclusive?
A: Yes—it is a one-time fee inclusive of all accommodations, transportation, swag, all meals and snacks, beverages, non-alcoholic and beer, and wine!

Q: Are there planned group activities?
A: Yes! There will be a very light structure to the days, with a few group activities at the start and end of each day. All meals are taken together in the barn dining hall.

Q: Do I have to share a room? What are sleeping arrangements?
A: We encourage double occupancy. There is the opportunity for a single room,  but you must please inquire within. The Glamping Tents and cabins are configured for groups of 2, 3, and 8 people with shared beds. Depending on your booking, you will have a different configuration.

Q: Is a one-night a possibility?
A: There are limited one-night stays available. Please email kerri@momhalo.com for more details.

Q: What is your refund policy?
A: There are no refunds available. All sales are final. If you have an extreme medical circumstance, we will issue a credit toward a future Mom Halo event.

Q: Is there a charitable element?
A: Yes, a portion of all proceeds will go toward our efforts to raise $1 million for SickKids Hospital by 2026!

Q: How much does Camp Mom Halo cost?
A: Camp Halo starts at $899+HST depending on your cabin selection (per person, based on double occupancy).
